Many thanks to Books of Wonder in New York City for hosting a marvelous panel with the juvenile and young adult finalists for the 2017 Edgar Awards! Here are a couple of photos of the enlightening and fun evening.
Come see me at The Mysterious Bookshop in New York City tonight! April 25, 2017 6-8PM for an Edgar Award cocktail party and book signing.
I’m delighted to share that I’ll be on a panel entitled “Nursery Noir” at the Mystery Writers of America Edgar Week Symposium in NYC on April 26, 2017. Other topics include writing compelling liars and breaking into the life of crime (-writing). It promises to be a fabulous event; I’ll be there all day. Register early, before it sells out!
(PS: If you can’t make the talk, I’ll be signing books and hanging out in New York all week–more details to follow!)
Mystery Writers of America has selected THE BAD KID to be a finalist for the 2017 Edgar Awards. The awards honor “the best in mystery fiction, non-fiction and television published or produced in 2016.” It’s the Oscars for mystery writers! Claude and friends are delighted to share the juvenile category with following fantastic mysteries–all of which I have now read, loved, and highly recommend. Looking forward to celebrating with many marvelous authors at the award ceremony in NYC in April!

I’m so happy to share this link to my interview with the fabulous Beth McMullen. She asked smart questions and I enjoyed answering them! Beth is a fellow Simon & Schuster author–her latest (and her first middle grade!) is a series: Mrs. Smith’s Spy School for Girls. It comes out with Aladdin in June, 2017. Check her out at Beth McMullen Books!
We met, by the way, at the Northern California Independent Booksellers Association mixer with the Society for Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators at Books Inc. in San Francisco. A lucky night!
